Enhance your home with our beautiful Cowrie Shell Cameroon Shield.  Hand carved from one piece of wood by the Tikar tribe of Cameroon makes each shield unique. These authentic shields are made with cowrie shells from the Atlantic  Ocean.

Adorned with cowrie shells, it takes 3 days to make one small shield.  It takes a whole week to make the 24".  This is definitely a labor of love. 

Traditionally, these shields were used as defensive weapons and also as decorative or ritual objects which in Cameroon symbolizes status and wealth.
